宋拓定武本蘭亭敍

唐太宗酷愛王羲之書法，曾命侍臣臨摹蘭亭，將下真蹟一等之歐陽詢摹本石刻、拓本後下賜皇族功臣，傳即所謂「定武本蘭亭敘」。是卷原為柯九思舊藏、故宮秘笈之一、蘭亭敘墨拓神品，筆致遒勁，墨色蒼然，名冠古今。

書聖王羲之の劇跡、〈蘭亭叙〉は、唐の太宗が宝愛のあまり、ともに葬られて永遠にその姿を隠しましたが、生前、帝はその模本を作らせました。うち欧陽詢の臨本を石に刻したとされるのが本帖です。古来もっとも傑れた蘭亭叙の拓本とされ、故宮秘蔵本の筆頭に位置する名品です。

Ting-wu Version of the Lan-t'ing-hsu (Orchid Pavilion Preface)

The T'ang Emperor T'ai-tsung, who had an extreme love for the calligraphy by Wang Hsi-chih, had Ou-yang Hsun's unequaled copy of the Lan-t'ing-hsu engraved on stone, and bestowed Imperial descendants and meritorious subjects with rubbings of the stone, which is said to be the Ting-wu version. This rubbing, formerly in the collection of K'o Chiu-ssu of the Yuan dynasty, is one of the treasures of the National Palace Museum. It is a consummate piece among rubbings of the Lan-t'ing-hsu, which is graceful yet strong, and is unsurpassed in all periods with its aged color of the ink.
