八大山人，本名朱耷（1626－1705），出身於明朝宗室。明朝覆亡後，薙髮為僧，在山中度過隱逸生活。他的書畫自有超俗的風格，受到很高的評價。此幅行書系為畫幅題詩。寬舒的運筆，婉轉自然，鮮亮而不浮華，顯示八大山人的真本領。（上海博物館藏）

八大山人：行書題画詩

本名は朱耷。八大山人の号で知られています。明滅亡後は僧となり、隠逸の生涯を送りましたが、世俗を離れた一格を成す書画は高い評価を受けています。ゆったりとした運筆、しなやかで艶のある素朴な筆致は、八大山人の面目躍如たるものがあります。本作は画に題したもの。（上海博物館蔵）

Pa-ta-shan-jen : Poem in Cursive Script

Pa-ta-shan-jen was the style name of Chu Ta (1626-1705), who came from the Ming imperial family. He became a Buddhist monk after the fall of the dynasty and led a secluded life. His unique painting and calligraphy, which is free from the mundane, are highly evaluated. The artist uses a well-used brush for this work. The slow movement of the brush as well as the supple and the astute and simple brush strokes are representative characteristics of the artist. ( Collection of the Shanghai Museum )
